I used to wear both suspenders and a belt. The suspenders were to keep my pants up and the belt was to keep them from going up too far.

and Wondering Woman is pondering where Superfluous Man is.

What if your suspenders HOOK to your belt – those snap-ons always pop off.

He’s wearing an utility belt. The suspenders are necessary so that his utility belt wont pull down his pants. He’s General Construction Man.
