I like my hat and I pretend I don’t see the snickers. Anyway, i don’t really care and it does keep my head warm.

The beauty of being a geezer (I tell my wife when she questions my clothing/hats), is that you don’t care anymore what people think. You wear something b/c it’s practical, &/or YOU like it.

I could – and did – wear a fedora in my teens & 20s. Can’t pull it off at 60……

Hubby has one hat – a battered old felt thing that Gabby Hayes would be seen in. It is worn strictly for shoveling snow

Michael Matchinsky: JFK was also the last president who wore a top hat at his inauguration, so he was playing on both sides.

I’ve worn a Fedora since I was a teen. Style is timeless. I’ve been told many times how good they look, and not always by blind, senile people either.

Bought my first fedora this past year at age 50, some people think I look good others are to polite to say what they think. But most importantly I think I rock the look and don’t really care how others feel about it.

I think all men look better in a hat with a brim. If you want to wear a hat, and just haven’t found the right one yet, keep looking :) Just remember to take it off when indoors. And tip it to the ladies!

I love hats. Not only do they keep your head warm, they keep your whole body warm….There’s an old German saying, if you want warm feet, wear a hat! So much heat flows out of our heads, for years scientists thought the purpose of the brain was to just cool the body like a heat radiator…Don’t say it….. I know that’s about all a lot of people use their brain for these days, anyway….When I hear some people talk, I think that maybe that just may be all their brain is good for…But my brain tells me that hat’s make all women sexier….Remember those movies made in the 30s where EVERYBODY wore hats? Even the women? I love the wild ones they put on the women.

When I was a child, all men wore hats. They tipped them at ladies and took them off when entering a house or church out of respect. I’ve always thought men look more suave and debonair in a hat (a baseball cap isn’t a hat), especially in a fedora, and have long wished that the trend would make a lasting return. Another reason I hope for their return is that it might mean that men have become more respectful again as well.
