Honestly, I don’t think this is a matter of any blatant racism. Rather it’s neglect of the poor (which as a group “happen” to be mostly black in Flint) and opposition voters. Snyder and crew just didn’t care about the people, only the cost savings. Savings first, then maybe, if we get around to it safety.
Now they will be spending BILLIONS, instead of a few hundred thousands.
I wouldn’t call it racism, I’d call it the typical Republican push for saving money. Sandflea has the best idea, let those Rethuglicans drink that water.
It IS a socio-economic problem, not just racial, but the fact is minority populations do get less attention and support for infrastructure, well, unless you consider the top 1%ers.
So you are responding to a version you edited in your mind before commenting..“If it was good enough for the poor and black people of Flint, it’s good enough for them.”.Do you think only black people are poor?
As someone who lives in Flint, MI, you are very wrong to make this a racial problem. There are many whites who live in Flint yet no one in the media seems to mention them. You should make sure of your facts before making a statement like that.
