Ants are important as polllinators and seed-dispersers. If you don’t want them in your house, clean your surfaces with a mixture of white vinegar, water and a few drops of pure lavendar oil. Put it in a spray bottle, and just spray and wipe. (Cuts grease a treat if you sprinkle what you’re cleaning with bicarbonate first.) Ants (and other critters) hate the smell of lavendar.
