He’s a pretty tough plugger, my knees and back wouldn’t last 2 minutes in that position.

Give me the good ‘ole’ days when the fuel filter was just in front of the ‘carb’ ‘in the valley’ between the rocker covers ! Five minute job to replace(at the outside) ! ! ! !

If a bivalve shot a seal, it was probably only trying to keep from being eaten. Usually they’re quite docile.

Worst sound in the world while on the road; ‘when the mechanic slides under your car and lets out a long ’wheeeeeew’ whistle’… A guarantee you’re gonna spend a night or three at Bob & Ethel’s Roadside Motel and eat meals at Sam ‘n Ella’s “Just Up The Road” restaurant. Remembering the ’50’s on ol’ Route 11 on the way to USAF, Biloxi, MS.

My dad always drove his ‘37 Ford coupe with an extra fan belt, carburetor and a gallon of water in the trunk. I don’t I think he ever paid a mechanic in his life.

I’m sure your truck is very nice, by the way! I always love to hear about folks who keep ’em instead of trashing ’em…

I’d really like to know how you got the oil pan off with the engine in the chassis. Not much room between the pan and crossmember. I typically pull the engine to drop the pan and get the timing cover off to swap a cam or timing chain.
