Whenever I hear somebody talk about this, I always make the translation in my head. I find it helps everybody achieve clarity.

Trump referred to mentally ill people as “sickos” on Sunday. I was appalled and distressed at how low he can go.

actually the correct line would be “I´m so sick of people who goes overboard of something they think is an insult, but actually isn´t”.

The Media teaches us to fear anyone who is different, even a female and fear of foreigners so that has bred hate. Too many people hate already.I wish people would get it in their heads that people are not meant to hate others. Bullies and Fear-mongers are their own worse enemy. No wonder people hate the USA.We have hated, and started wars, first. We are specificly out of what in the middle east, that is where we have done the most harm recently. Not us, but Bush and his warbucks friends. Pre-emptive strikes,, like thought-crime in the book “1984”, and others.

I have a different concept of PC, because I never know when dealing with a new student at university or a client that I am doing consulting for, what their political biases are, I concentrate on topics, that we all approve or disapprove of … issues that our representatives chronically fail to work on. The issues we hear about from our representatives (and the media) are meant to divide us, so, I try not to go there.

Move to Highland Park, Texas. Anyone who lives there doesn’t mind this kind of talk as they are white and affluent, and everyone else comes under the heading of “the help”.

@D Lee -Love it. Especially the part about God being really confused. Makes me think of the time some people were saying God is dead, and a comedian came up with a line I still use. "God isn’t dead. He’s just sitting in some dark corner of the Universe somewhere, with his head in his hands, asking ‘What did I do wrong?’ "

@sueamarlucan-Very true. There is a lot of what could be called reverse racism going around today. Thankfully I have known a lot of good black people, and am mature enough emotionally not to let anything anyone says to me bother me. Not to mention the fact that everyone sometimes says something using the wrong words or that came out sounding wrong to someone who is touchy about such things. I call these the “What the hell am I saying moments.”
