Maggie says, "You know the tomatoes Mom gave us?" Ames says, "You mean?" Ames says, "Those weird and rare varieties she grows?" Maggie says, "Yeah. Where are they?" Ames says, "They got pushed behind the peanut butter, ketchup and aging hot dogs." Maggie says, "Now they really are heirloom tomatoes." Ames says, "We can bequeth them to the compost pile."

The quickest way to spoil tomatoes is to put them in the refrigerator.

Stir them into some dirt, and see if the seeds will sprout.

in the compost pile, where the seeds will be ready to grow whereever the compost gets spread next year! (now we’ll see if they are REALLY heirloom tomatoes by the fruit they bear)
