Giving somebody directions from a map is bad enough. Giving them the directions over the phone is a whole level of difficulty higher.

Luckily, I have a good sense of direction plus I love to look at maps particularly of my destination (plus now we have ‘Google Earth’) so my wife and I seldom get lost unless she decides that she wants to go somewhere other than what was planned ! ! ! ! !

DH does NOT have a good sense of direction, never did. I do, but he’s never admitted this. I remember when we turned in at the entrance to Grand Canyon. After sight-seeing for awhile, we drove out of the exit and himself turned to leave in the wrong direction. Took me a good 20 miles to finally convince him via exit numbers, or we’d have driven to New York instead of home.

I rarely get lost, but I do go exploring from time to time.
