FOXTROT: (Panel 3) – English: Know thy loopholes. Spanish: Conoce las Chicanas. I guess there isn’t a Spanish word for “loopholes.” Maybe Tom F. will come by and comment on this.JUDGE PARKER: Abbott/Norton hangs tough in the best definition of the idiom – “aggressively unyielding.” MARK TRAIL: This story is sort of like an extended Sunday strip…educational. I hope the commenters like david & Jan, who know the southwest will continue to elaborate on the flora & fauna. I am enjoying this “education” and I suppose we will eventually find out what Jose and Jefe are up to. PHANTOM: Where are all these folks, including the president, going to be “bunking” for three days? Is there a Skull Cave Hotel?
Phantom – Is Diana’s mother traveling by helicopter or elephant? Either one might make me a little queazy.Judge Parker – Abbott’s right of course. It’s April’s decision and she can’t leave her friend behind. I hope we get to see some of the action, not just wait for a letter.Mark Trail – I agree with Florchi on this. I hope the facs are factual.
PHANTOM: Who is the person, wearing what looks to be jodhpurs and a pith helmet , in the last panel (leaning against the palm tree)? REX MORGAN: It appeared to me that Rex could afford to send Sarah to Welton Green ( and was prepared to pay her tuition). I dunno. I guess I would prefer that Dolly’s full scholarship have a need-based component – i.e., would allow a talented student to gain an education that would otherwise be unaffordable and unavailable. MARY WORTH: I dunno. Maybe I’m just being grumpy this morning, but I guess my reaction here is similar to RM above. It looks to me like Mary and Olive are exhibiting more “generosity” to each other than they did to the down-and-out guy. FUNKY W.: I like the punchline (last panel).

PHANTOM: Looks like the whole gangs here.
REX MORGAN: And Rex was worrying about the cost of shredding his files. He’s found the goose that laid the golden eggs.
MARK TRAIL: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

SUNDAY PHANTOM: It didn’t take P. to lock on the bad guy.
REX MORGAN: We start school the next morning, not much notice. Is this a boarding school or not?
MARY WORTH: Is this a mutual admiration society?
