Last time Earth was 2 degrees Celsius warmer sea levels were several meters higher, a result that would put most major coastal cities underwater. Although how long that took is unknown but considering the increasing rate of melting in Greenland and Antarctica it could be as soon as 2100 with significant level rise starting in 35 years. We need to keep the increase to 1.5 degrees and develop carbon sequestration technologies in addition to planting lots of trees now.
McConnell’s last opponent, Alison Grimes, LOVES coal just as much as Mitch. Maybe Democratic candidates need to promote more progressive policies and then you could get a better voter turn out.
The stimulus package was not large enough and contained mostly tax breaks. If it REALLY contained green jobs like you claim, we would be further along with economic recovery AND a cleaner environment.
Santa, if you worked hard all your life and invested your money wisely, and voted Republican, none of these liberal-concocted reversals would be happening to you right now. Serves you right!
