If you’re hungry, you’ll eat. BUT no pie until you eat dinner first! That’s my rule and I’m sticking to it!

Grog. .. Hey, yeah.. maybe a roiled yakturken… mmm….Tony, i won’t make it to a regular thanksgiving dinner this year… I’ll miss the turkey and trimmings, for the first time in years. ..but it’s not like I’ll go hungry. I’m thankful EVERY day that i have plenty of food and clean water, a warm, dry place to sleep, clothes to wear, electricity, and so many other things we tend to take for granted… including a means to go online and post this. Anybody who has all that is far better off than most of the world’s inhabitants. None of us should ever allow ourselves to forget that… or forget to be grateful for it. Or for our friends, and remaining relatives, and even for the time we got to spend with those who are now gone. At the risk of sounding like Pollyanna, I truly believe we should count our blessings.

I am thankful for all the same things as SusanSunshine – only add chocolate to that. I’m thankful for my great family that I will be having a wonderful meal with. Happy Thanksgiving Tony and all the great people here.

Sooooo…..just the white meat, then? I can’t believe the kid doesn’t like all the other stuff (except the peas)! I live for mashed potatoes!

I’m thankful for each and every one of you, my family, my husband (of 53 years) and the fact that whenever I feel lonely or sad, you all remind me that laughter really is the best medicine!

I am thankful for my sons, hubby, pets, a job I love, food in my stomach, a roof over my head, and for living, so far, KNOCK ON WOOD, in a place where I feel safe and don’t have to fear walking out in the street like people in Paris and elsewhere where Terrorism seems to be the norm these days.
