I think we can assume that they ARE in the wrong cabin. The only question is how it will end: [1] the angry ‘real’ owners show up [2] after a harrowing stay they confront Ted about his crummy cabin, and he explains their error [3] while hiking, canoeing or whatever, they stumble upon the correct cabin.

What the heck is wrong with that cabin? In the pre-Betty/Gloria days, my mother and sister kept us two boys and my father happy as clams in a three room, unheated, no water tar paper “cabin” . We took baths in the lake, carried drinking water a mile in Clorox jugs, and praised the girls fine cooking and house cleaning. You mean things have changed since the 50s?

Ted dated a different lady to stay same place twice every summer. Ewww! he is full of prevert! I hope The Pattersons would not get in the wrong cabin where Ted owns. Wish the Pattersons good luck! Funny, on the third panel, John and Elly just popped their eyes while the clerk talked about Ted’s dating with a different lady every summer. Hilarious! lols! :-D

Why do I get the feeling they’re staying in the wrong house?

I know it’s a comic but for heaven’s sake are these two too stupid to live or what? The owner of the store says Ted has a “mighty fine spot”. He knows all the cabins on the lake. Which ones are good, which ones are bad, etc. I am sure he has a phone in the store from which Ted could be called. John might ask him where Ted’s cabin is, exactly. Ellie could open her mouth for a change to someone other than her doofus husband.. This arc is making me nuts! How many of you out there would put up with animals in the couch, filth, etc. even in the 1980’s with two small children without question? Probably not many. I would like to slap the two of them.

pattybf, a “fine spot” could have a run down cabin, but have great access and a wonderful view to the lake, etc.

Remember it’s a comic strip, and all those screw-ups are part of the fun! “Gilligan’s Island” at the lake.

    “Oh Pancho!” “Oh Cisco!” “Hahahahahahah!”

If they start to dig up out behind the cabin, they might find out why Ted brings a different gal every year !!!!
