I’ve heard of a turducken. If we stuff one of you into the other to cook, is it called a Pigkey?

Watch your back piggy. We’re having an unconventional Thanksgiving dinner this year of BBQ ribs and a family traditional smoked ham for Christmas. This is a safe house for turkeys.

In my house we usually have both for Thanksgiving and Christmas, because the hubby doesn’t like roasted poultry of any kind but I need chicken or turkey with dressing. Also the kids like both. This year, no turkey but I do have chicken drumsticks and wings because that’s what the kids fight over.

We won’t have ham on Christmas, we’ll have stuffed pork chops.

I vaguely remember eating turkey, and ham. But the memory’s not very strong. It has been 30 years, after all.

I wouldn’t mind eating python (which are taking over the Everglades), or feral pig (which have taken over everywhere), but I have no interest in eating animals raised on factory farms.

We never had ham for Christmas, but it wouldn’t have been Christmas dinner for my Dad without a big pile of pork sausages around the turkey!

If the Indians had given the Pilgrims a donkey insteadof a turkey, we would all be having a piece of a$$ this Thanksgiving!!…
