I had a buddy that I went to school with that ( back in the day ) became a legal drug pusher for one of the big Pharma’s.

I was amazed at the enormous expense accounts these guys had to wine and dine the docs. with. It was nothing for him to have a gourmet luncheon catered for an entire doctor’s office staff and take the doc out for “golf” outings.

He finally got tired of all the traveling, got married, bought a small farm in Vermont, and started raising organic vegetables.

We owned a tick agency and had a couple that bought sets of our season baseball tickets to take the doctors out. The IRS disallows this now and that hurt our business.I understand the IRS being against huge entertainment accounts(they are really just bribes), but taking a client to a baseball game and having some male bonding is not bribery.
