We all decided to go to the Pet Parade in costume. Susan, Dry, Rose, Stel, Bev and Perky really got into the spirit. We had a blast!

I must say, when ladies get into the swing of things, you really swing !

Hamster Herding…….miniature Rawhide.Don’t spook them……they can really be a problem if they stampede.Just mind the Bull hamster…..they can be really ornery…….in a cute sort of way.Side note…..getting rained on again here in Texas.Got some new rescue equipment for high water rescues…..a throw bag……it contains about 75 feet of rope to toss out to rescue someone…..been used once in the field…..dumb butt tossed it bag and all. You are suppose to hold one end of the rope and then toss the bag which will deploy the rope as it flies to the rescue.“Directions??? We don’t read those stinking directions!”Sadder note…..we lost a Sergeant coming back from Border duty…….late night ran off road and crashed. Left behind a loving family. My badge is now black stripped.

I don’t need to herd cats. At snack time they herd me. If I need to herd all 5 at once, I just rattle the snack jar and whistle their tune. Works like a charm.

Veteran, So sad, my heart and thoughts go out to his family.
