Happy Hump Day Vagabonds.Well for people who are working hump day was yesterday of a three day work week..We took our extra kitty to the shelter yesterday, we loved her dearly but, we already have two.We hope she finds a loving forever home. (sniff) :-(.Waiting for the sun to rise to see how much snow there is out there. Our weather guy spoke of wintery conditions in the northern Plains and Rockies. Hows it going Rita..See you in the funny papers..ttfn
I got almost a full night’s sleep last night. I’m not up to full strength yet, but the contagious period is over, and I’ll get to see the kids and grand-baby tomorrow! Yay!
Oh, Heavenly Father,We thank Thee for food and remember the hungry. We thank Thee for health and remember the sick.We thank Thee for friends and remember the friendless. We thank Thee for freedom and remember the enslaved.May these remembrances stir us to service,That Thy gifts to us may be used for others.Amen.
Today I am going to attempt to make my mother’s raw cranberry relish. Unfortunately the recipe calls for “2 packages” of cranberries. Looking at the bags I bought, I think they are a lot smaller than the ones mom used to get, so I got three. We’ll see how it turns out. (Michael will be the judge since I can’t stand the stuff.)
The temp is 54 at the moment according to Bing, I’m not sure I believe it because the wind is blowing and it is cold just sitting here next to the cat flap. High is expected to be 57.
At 10:00 a.m. yesterday, we got to our “high” of the day….33 degrees! Then, it continued to drop………..down to 9 during the night! Woo Hoo! We only got 2 inches of snow so far. The wind has been pretty steady so it wipes off the surfaces. It is still so pretty! I tell you, for someone who has spent her whole life in Southern California, it is pure joy to experience the 4 seasons!!!!
I’m brining a turkey today for our humble Thanksgiving meal. So glad we don’t have to travel, yes, Mark, we got all kinds of travel advisories. Should be sunny for the next week or so. :))

Good morning, Vagabonds.
Here’s Jeanne Phillips (Dear Abby, 2nd generation) Thanksgiving prayer:
Oh, Heavenly Father,We thank Thee for food and remember the hungry. We thank Thee for health and remember the sick.We thank Thee for friends and remember the friendless. We thank Thee for freedom and remember the enslaved.May these remembrances stir us to service,That Thy gifts to us may be used for others.Amen.
I thought it was a pretty good one.
