    Morning, Village!

    Thank you for the prayers. I still have the fever and the cough and shortness of breath, but we’re hoping for a turnaround today or tomorrow.

    Howdy Vagabonds.David, apparently I was writing my post yesterday when you posted and I did not return as I should have, so I did not see it.So I’ll be praying for you and I’ll lift you up in Church for prayer tomorrow..The temperatures are high for this time of year and the ski resorts are having a hard time getting their slopes open for Thanksgiving skiing..The turkey is thawing in the refrigerator, pulling together all the ingredients for the golden glo salad (a gelatin salad)..Got’ta get my list going, David take care, all have a really good day..ttfn

    @David, I hope you’re feeling better.

    Even though you didn’t like James Mitchener’s writings about Texas, you may like his novel “The Source,” about a biblic family (imaginary) through thousands of years into modern times.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

    It only got up to 24 yesterday! And, it was 11 during the night!I can’t remember it being this cold before Thanksgiving before! The ground was still warm enough to melt the inch or so of snow we got. Beautiful!!

    David, be well. You are in my prayers.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

    David, you are still in my prayers. Get better, my friend.

    Yesterday got all the way up to 72, but today’s forecast is back down to 65.

    Today we are planning to “binge watch” some of the shows we have recorded on our DVR but never watched. We have some from the end of last season in May!

    Good morning Vagabonds.

    Praying for you David and hope you are well soon.

    Another nice day with temp in low 60’s. Can’t complain.

    My son and son-in-law are installing the new skylights in the porch roof today.

    They don’t want me on the roof. They say I am too old.

    Good morning, everybody.

    @David, I hope you’re feeling better.

    Please see my later comments yesterday about Mitchener’s book, “The Source,” about a biblical family through the ages.

    At the same time I’m reading Mitchener’s “Iberia,” I’m also reading Alan Dershowitz’s “Chutpah.” I must admit that it’s an easier read than “Iberial” and I’m way ahead of reading it.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

    Going to be another fairly warm day today with temp in upper 50’s. Will be having showers this morning and then again later in the evening.

    The skylights are all in and sealed. They look good. It took time with all the flashing and having to cut shingles to fit.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

    I have a lovely story………..happened about 3 or 4 days ago in Billings, MT. A flight from Israel to I think Seattle had to have an emergency landing due to the “fire” light coming on for one of the two engines on the 777. They landed safely, and all passengers and crew had to leave and be held in a security area of the airport. Some lovely woman and her daughter thought of these people from Israel, and went out and bought enough Kosher food for the entire lot and brought it to the airport, knowing the airline would have used up all food already. I love hearing good stores like that!Here’s the link:http://www.ktvq.com/story/30521976/international-flight-emergency-lands-in-billings-residents-pitch-in-to-feed-passengers

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

    Nice story, Rita. It is always uplifting to hear about good people doing nice things. We get too much of the other kind of news.

    More “binge watching” on the schedule today. We are almost done with the “leftovers” from last season.

    Sunny and 65 outside right now. A very nice day, if a bit breezy.
