    Morning, Village!

Found out what the problem is. I have pneumonia. After going to the doctor’s office twice in a week’s time,I called back and said I wanted to see the doctor, not a practitioner, the doctor! He worked me into his busy schedule and ordered a lab and a chest x-ray. Finally we know why I feel so miserable. He gave me a shot of penicillin knock-off and a prescription of antibiotics. So here I sit. Man, do I feel lousy.

Arye, I quit reading Mitchener after “Texas.” The way he dealt with Texas history and presented Texas heroes makes him one of the most hated persons across this state. In fact, I would imagine Texas hates that author even more than the good people in Alaska do.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Arye, you really should continue the “Earth’s Children” series with “The Mammoth Hunters”. It was (IMHO) the best of the series. “The Plains of Passage” was okay too, but the last two aren’t worth the effort.

David you will be in my prayers until you recover. I will ask my pastor to add you to the prayer list.

Rita, you said you are getting a “Hobby Lobby”? That is one of my favorite stores. It is owned by Christians, and you can find a lot of stuff that isn’t available in other craft stores. Their Christmas decorations go on sale before Halloween, so it is easy to pick up lots of supplies for the holidays in time to actually create your project before Christmas. I have three friends who are “crafters extraordinaire” (all coincidentally named Debbie) and Hobby Lobby is their all time favorite store, even though we have two other craft stores within a mile of the HL. HL even has a plethora of Thanksgiving decorations which are hard to find anywhere. (Plenty of “harvest” or “fall”, but no Thanksgiving)

Yesterday’s temp did get up to the predicted 66, and it was a beautiful day. Today is supposed to be a repeat. I think I will take advantage and go for a long walk later.
