In perspective, Calvin has the easy part of the deal.

Start him early, Mom. Give him some daily chores and make sure he does them. Before he realizes it, he’ll be able to take care of himself and whoever his wife ends up being, in sickness and in health. Maybe even doing it for the pleasure it gives her.

Happy Thanksgiving! There’s going to be more trash where that came from!

That was the response I always got when I asked if I could have an allowance. “We allow you to live here. We allow you to eat here. That’s your allowance.”

You can’t argue with the facts Calvin.

I wouldn’t have dared ask a question like that at my childhood residence.

I love the look of Calvin in the second panel. Putting things in perspective… that’s hilarious.

Putting things in the right perspective does wonders for one’s motivation. So maybe Calvin needs to search a little farther in this case. . .
