The community college in Oregon was not a gun free zone.

The college was a gun free zone by its handbook rules but not by law, since Oregon allows people with tiny penises to compensate as long as they have permits.

Has even a single one of the cartoonists who are going on and on and on and on about your 1234567890th mass shooting – which as we all know will happen again and about the causes of which absolutely nothing will be done – seen fit even to mention your country’s destruction of the Medecins sans Frontieres hospital in Kunduz? Just curious.

Isn’t this politicizing a tragedy? I thought that wasn’t allowed.

so, if it wasn’t a gun free zone, and concealed carry on campus was legal. then, some student would have stopped the shooter because they played FPS? Or, should we arm everyone like in somalia or yemen?

No Parking zones have completely prevented illegal parking, no cells phones allowed signs have successfully reduced the nuisance everywhere they’re used and no trespassing signs have completely stopped intruders from getting in, so why wouldn’t gun free zones work?

Bars (great idea), churches, anywhere you care to name, the NRA is against any form of “gun free zone”, and with the mobility we have here, I DO assume there will be guns.

In Yosemite, years ago when regulations prohibited open firearms (you could have them cased and unloaded in the park) the worst guy I ever arrested had a 9 mm Browning on the seat he was reaching for when I made a “routine” traffic stop. I saw the movement and advised forcefully for him to put his hands on the windshield, or his head would be on it. We took the weapon, ran a check on him, then re-ran it as he seemed “hinky”. Turned out he was wanted in 9 homicides, four were police officers. The fact the gun violated our regulations is what gave us the probable cause to one, seize the weapon (it was used in five of the homicides it turned out), and two., question him more thoroughly.

Point being, if found violating that “gun free zone”, you well that person responsible for much worse things than just “packing” when you check them out, and take the weapon.
