Not this cat owner! My cats—and the dogs, too-are all over me when I try to write something!

Luckily, the vast majority of my writing is done on the computer. That doesn’t stop the elbow nudges, but it does limit the damage. :-)

Actually, my cat, Tucker “bounces” into my arm and hand all of the time as he “helps” me write and key on my computer. (I wouldn’t have it any other way!)

Actually the cat will come up and lay down on the piece of paper you are writing on or the book you are reading.

I would think cats would be up on the table and all over the paper. Then again some dogs would be too!

I sit on the floor with my laptop on the coffee table. My dogs are constantly coming up and under my arms to get in on the action. At least it makes me double-check my spelling before I press “enter.”

Dogs generally do not walk all over the paper you are trying to write on, though, as cats sometimes do.

Most of my friends with cats report them actually on the desk or table, so I doubt it

In my experience, the dogs never tried to get up on the table and attack the pen, or use it for a chin scratcher, or lay on the paper, etc. Plus, I ’ve never had a dog land in the middle of my keyboard and send off crazy emails to my parents or delete the last two paragraphs of a school paper. Fortunately, my online teachers and fellow students found the occasional jibberish sent during chat classes amusing.

Oh no, my cat liked to get on top of my arm and drape himself over it, then get offended when I moved….

Someone won an “Ignoble Prize” for writing software that recognized when a cat walked on a computer keyboard. I don’t remember if the software raised an alarm or…

Cat owners don’t have to worry about penmanship. Cats lay down right on top of the paper making it impossible to write!
