This reminds me of a time when I was a child in the middle of the last century. My mom was on my case one particular morning about eating breakfast. She kept alternating between nagging and bribing offering various entrees. Eventually I gave in and settled on something she offered.
My sister watched the whole thing and at the end she said, “When are you going to learn to take a dive in the first. It’s not worth going the full ten rounds with mom.”
