I remember a long riff in B.C. in the form of:We were so poor we didn’t have a roof and we slept under the stars.— You had stars?!
And to get to that ditch, Sadie had to walk 2 hours.. in the snow… barefoot… uphill… both ways!
And it’s not only Flint that’s a crap hole, Michigan also has Saginaw, Pontiac, Benton Harbor, Muskegon and of course Detroit. Amazing what happens to flourishing cities when all the jobs leave town.
This brings to mind Monty Python’s “Four Yorkshiremen” skit.
