The last check I wrote was for putting the year of my father’s death on his tombstone. I should have wrote “For your part in my father’s death” in the memo field.
English has added so many words from other languages that a lot more spelling-simplification would be a positive thing. As it is, we spend weeks learning phonics in grade school, and years after that learning exceptions.

I only write reality cheques. In the memo field, I put “For farting into your air space.”
