    Morning, Village!

I think my back is slowly getting better, but I doubt I’ll be able to play in the Shriners’ Benefit Golf Tournament tomorrow.

    Good morning Vagabonds.

Another nice day. Cool but sunny with some scattered showers expected later tonight.

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

My new computer and I are getting along much better. There is soooooooo much to learn! I do agree with you, Jan, that it is a good challenge! I think I’ve only gotten in about 1/kazillionth of the Windows 10 features.

Warming up for the last time this year. Forecast for tomorrow is to be 82. WooHoo!We’re planning on going up to Great Falls………..the long way, through “Deep Creek Canyon”. Those trees should be very very pretty. Then, we’ll do some shopping and even spend the night. Wow……a mini vacation again. :))

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Arye, welcome back. I’m glad your trip was safe. The “screw” you are referring to in your rollator is a bolt. The thing that holds the bolt on is a nut. A screw is also threaded, but clings directly to whatever it is screwed in to without needing a nut.

Another beautiful fall day here in the desert. 74 at the moment, and forecast to be around 90.

Mark, there was a Heinlein story that had brand new cars that were made for the express purpose of being crushed and recycled. It kept people employed making the cars and other people employed crushing them. Of course, he never addressed the economics for the companies that were making no profit. (Pay to make the car, then pay to have it crushed? or does the crusher pay the manufacturer and then get paid in turn by the recycling company?) The novel was “Door Into Summer” and is one of my old favorites.
