Looking forward to a quiet day today. Unfortunately, I wrenched my back yesterday while washing the car. Hope I get over it soon. I’m scheduled to play in the Shriners’ Benefit Golf Tournament on Saturday.

We got a new laptop, and I thought you just had to plug it in and start playing. But…………no!!! Two hours later I was able to sort of play around. Not at all happy, but my old computer took sooooooooo long to do anything! This one is truly faster, but as I’ve said before, I HATE learning new technology!
Rita, I love new technology. Sometimes. When it has to do with DVD’s, Blu-Ray, music or computers, I revel in it. Smart phones and tablets? Not so much. They drive me crazy. (I just found online (from a reference in today’s Foxtrot strip) a 400 disc Blu-ray player that will not only store 400 of our 800+ disks (both DVD & BR), but play them on demand. I wonder if I could hook two up in tandem…..)
David, I will pray for your back to heal quickly. We are having a golf tournament in Pahrump on Monday to which you would be welcome to come and play. It is a benefit for “U-Turn for Christ” who is building a rehab facility in Pahrump (about 40 miles from Vegas). It will be the only Christ-based rehab facility in Nevada. They are completing the men’s facility soon and the women’s will follow within the year.
It is a beautiful day outside, about 70 degrees and the birds are singing. Forecast is for 89 so I will have to close up soon, but having everything open in the mornings has been wonderful these past few days.
Good morning, Vagabonds. You’re right: I’ve been busy packing and closing up my part of my Bronx apartment. I arrived safely at Ft Lauderdale airport only to find that the airline had broken the handle of my rellollator. The screw and the bolt (is that what you call the thingee that holds the screw in place) were missing. The airline couldn’t find a screw, etc. and offered to replace the whole rollator with the same model.
Since I left my Bronx home about the time the Wed. morning GoComics go on, I had to read 2 days’ worth of comics this morning. For “One Big Happy” that means 4 comics.
