We also have anchor spouses, married to gain citizenship. The bigger problem is the anchor around our neck that wants to keep workers out & sell a tomato for $10, which is what legal wage workers will give you. Immigration rhetoric is good for votes. Lack of immigration action keeps lawn care cheap. Borders just tell you who to pay the taxes to for civic upkeep & whose law enforcement has jurisdiction. Enforcement against hiring illegals would be far more effective than deportation, which brings us back to that $10 tomato.

You are correct. And, to get back to the cartoon, the Republicans who would have to leave would include John McCain, born in Panama, Michelle Malkin, anchor baby, Ted Cruz, born in Canada and a whole bunch more. the immigration issue is like abortion, the GOP would never do anything about eiter because they raise a lot of money and hackles over it and it brings the racists and idiots out to vote.

Bobby Jindal is an anchor baby — born to parents here legally, but temporarily.

In the USA the hospitals can not deny emergency services to anyone rearguards of citizenship or finances. This includes pregnancies

When I lived in New Mexico 50% of the birth in the Bernalillo County Hospital were to illegal women. They would come up from Mexico to give birth then use that for economic gains. It was a major financial burden to the people of the County.

The number quoted in the press today is 300,000 birth per year to illegal women.

This is different that illegal coming here to exchange work for money. It is pure robbery of tax payers.

So who are these anchor baby GOP candidates? It can be argued that Cruz is not eligible for president, but his mother was a U.S. Citizen at the time of his birth. Rubio was born to legal residents (later naturalized), as was Jindal (although I don’t know if his parents are naturalized). Even if you stretch the definition of anchor baby to include children of legal residents, that is two out of seventeen and according to my math is certainly less tha “half the GOP” candidates. But when did things like facts get in the way of a good Lazlo propaganda rant.

Geez, if you want to try to make a coherent argument for your point of view, don’t look like an idiot and use hyperboles that even 10 year old children can disprove.
