I used to live like Earl. Now I live in an old condo with two cats. Earl, beware! It could happen to you, too. You can push a woman like Opal only so far.
My mother was like Opal. She spent most of her life working, only slowing down a bit after my father died. I think it was what kept her alive as long as she lived (95).My father could make dinner and, secretly, I always enjoyed his meals. But, he’d never cross Mom when it came to her kitchen. There she was ‘the Boss’.

Maybe YOU should try staying busy, Earl, or else you’ll croak.

Maybe it’s not to late to save yourself there, Earl. Just say, “Let’s just hop in the car, and go out for dinner!”

In the future, Earl will refrain from making that kind of comment until after dinner!
