That is exactly what my pup does when it thunderstorms, or during fireworks (4th frame). She barks frantically and then jumps on my lap to hide! They look so peaceful under that tree! Love them both!

My Kiah hides under the bed during storms and fireworks. But she likes to hide her face against me all the time, and get her ears rubbed.

My rescue chihuahua hides on his favorite rug in a corner of the kitchen. My pugs were skittish puppies, but my being relaxed and feigning sleep during the worst storms calmed them and now they don’t care about thunder and fireworks.

In some homes, the dog is the vacuum cleaner. Just spill a little food on the floor and see how quickly hoover rover appears…

Our Dachshund would bark at the thunder and then run to that corner of the yard to bark at it until it “went away”. He always succeed and got it to go away.
