CRANKSHAFT: I enjoy Cranky’s Wordplay. lol. :-) MARY WORTH: I wonder how this will work out (Toby’s change of heart)…?PHANTOM: An enigmatic statement…what does the tutor, Kyabje Kunjen, mean in panel 3? That he (Kit) will be sending a son or grandson to be tutored in the Himalayas? Any comments re KK’s meaning would be much appreciated…!FOXTROT: These are old (i.e., Classic) strips. I think Jason grew up to be the ME’s assistant on NCIS New Orleans.
APT3G: I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 35 years ago. My face was very thin and I was very antsy. What made my doctor suspect it was hyperthyroidism was I told him I had to do #2 very often during the day. After being tested, about 40 percent of my thyroid was burned. The specialist told me I would be gaining weight. Not only I gained waeight but I was less nervous. Only in the the past few years I really began to gain weight and cannot lose it even though I take L-thyroxoid daily.
Phantom – Present day P said 2 ancestors had studied there, and they are already accounted for – one in 1754 and one in the next hundred years,by or before 1854. Unless there is another prediction, this doesn’t necessarily mean young Kit will go there. I wonder if the tutor has a similar tradition as P does, i.e. carrying on the name and tradition of tutoring.Mary Worth – Sounds like a cozy arrangement for everyone. Will Toby’s change of heart mean she will reconcile, or just talk to him. Could be a very short arc, and that would be too unusual.Rex Morgan and Judge Parker – Hints at something happening. Wish they would get on with it.
A3G – Of the symptoms listed at Mayo Clinic website, Margo definitely has exhibited nervousness, anxiety, and irritability, sleeplessness (she’s been wondering the streets late at night), fatigue and muscle weakness. Tommie probably detected the rapid heartbeat. I wish this strip had a better artist and more coherent storyteller. When I was a child, my GM had a friend who had a goiter. It’s more common in other parts of the world. Kiwanis had a program for helping prevent this in children by providing iodized salt.Arye, I hope you’re dong well, other than the weight gain.
Forgive me for so many posts; I keep thinking of more questions. Does anyone read Ziggy? I enjoyed today’s strip; does it constitute breaking the 4th wall?

Interesting. In English, Jason ends by saying, “Last year I had krypton.” The Spanish version actually improves the punchline.

PHANTOM: Slow
REX MORGAN: Rex is interested in buying the cottage? Did he suddenly win the lottery?
MARK TRAIL: It looks like Mark was trying to kill the bad guy but he turned away in time.
MARY WORTH: I hope this talk ends this arc.
