You really CAN’T rush going back to school. That leads to actually showing that you want to go back to school. shudders Oh the horror!

School started yesterday around here.

Phoebe’s really just embarrassed to be seen shopping with Sneaker-Wearing Ninja Mom.

Mom looks so shadowy and ominous in panel one.

Dana, it was great to see you at WorldCon! I hope I wasn’t too much of a fanboy about it.

Don’t listen to her Phoebe, you know how this thing works. First it’s just the pants, then they want you to put on your socks, then your shoes, and the next thing you know they want you to put SHIRT on.

Mom, feel free to take Phoebe shopping dressed the way she is.

YOU may not be able to rush these things, Phoebe; but I think MOM is fully capable of getting you a move on!

I agree on that mam. She really need pants to go with that sweater.

Don’t worry Phoebe, pants are pretty low priority in the first place.

Ozy didn’t have to wear pants. Marigold doesn’t. Why should Phoebe have to? Besides Dana having to explain why there’s a naked little girl in her comic strip.

This particular strip makes me miss working from home. A morning commute—and the general societal expectation of pants—aren’t always my favorite things first thing in the morning. :P
