Republicans are sitting at a table with Barack Obama to discuss the Iran accord. Republican: Some regimes you can't negotiate with! You should have learned that dealing with me.
I saw a news segment where they said that the sanctions on Iran, at their height, were imposing roughly a 7% surcharge on goods in Iran because of the circumvention on trade.
No, NeedAChuckle was talking about the GOP debate. Ten people whose basic goal, dismantling the American form of government, is very much aligned with Iranian hardliners. .And I think that North Korea proved that sanctions do not prevent a nuclear program when the government wants it enough. Inspections, however, are a pretty good bet. Slate has a good piece on how little credibility the GOP has on this issue.
The accord is effectively rejected. It will be re-negotiated in the next administration, when Darth Donald will have the Death Star to assure Iranian compliance.
Wabbit: Just his typical snide remarks. The United Church of Christ is the result of four denominational mergers, first the Congregational and Christian churches and the 19th century German immigrant Evangelical and Reformed, followed more recently by those two merging as the United Church of Christ. The Obamas are members of this denomination, but because the official GOP position that they are Muslims, “church” must be changed to “mosque” to preserve the lie.
According to the Washington Post’s unofficial whip count, the votes are there with fairly high probability in the Senate to sustain the President’s veto of Congressional disapproval. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/07/14/whip-count-where-the-senate-stands-on-the-iran-deal/

You know, that’s so real it isn’t even funny. Obama seems to be catching on, but he should have learned it long before now.

No rant from conserve.gov? If I can’t engage a troll over this editorial what’s the point?
