The government can’t even fly over hte disaster zone without BP’s permission.
In any crime, the police can act without the criminal’s permission…I suggest that if a corporation becomes involved in a disaster of this amplitude, the government can have unlimited acces to the site.
Seems like common sense to me, big government to others.
MIchael Powell and those turning the airwaves over to their “friends” in corporate America, and well, just look at the power of advertising, like the “drill baby drill” lady representing big gas and oil, corporate control, or more accurately, deregulation, IS the problem.
(This is a joke!!! Please!!! I am not making fun of the Moose, who is one of the most consistently entertaining of all posters here!!! I don’t even believe in IQs as a measure of anything interesting!!! This is just a joke!!!)

“bp is restricting media access to the gulf.”
Welcome to the future.

Since when do oil companies own entire oceans?
I’ll let somebody else sort out the syntax on this one.
CorosiveFrog Premium Member almost 14 years ago
Not to the gulf, just the disaster zone.
But if they could own entire oceans, they would.

I can never understand why people like Harley are so in favor of pollution…
lonecat almost 14 years ago
^ Because of the nutrients in it. Vitamins and minerals. Well, minerals, anyway.

the senor is one of the most interesting enigmas on the forum
sometimes he’s the red-bearded builder with little glasses reading the news
sometimes he’s the funky n’er’do’well whose life is online
sometimes he’s the political junkie who knows more tihs than the rest of us
sometimes he’s the paul simon groupie
sometimes he’s the andrea bocelli groupie
you gotta love the guy
but you can’t figure him out
parkersinthehouse almost 14 years ago
btw senor, i had never heard the Bocelli & Zucchero - Miserere - it blew me away - it’s on my desktop - it continues to inspire

You linked to a blog?
“About Me Tom Nelson I have a Masters of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.”
Somebody has to stand up to the experts!
The book looks interesting though.
It’s all a matter of volume… get it? Volume.
“Kind of like our acorn community organizer and chief and most libs who get all worked up over buzz word slogans and Al Gory’s climate change”
Crabby little thing, aintcha? Get it? Crabby… crab… like the ones that can’t live in petroleum befowled wetlands… speaking of birds… and brains…
See, I can speak gibberish, too.

Just flagged chuimsa, and visited several places they commented! They don’t learn, do they?
AVOID ‘jordaner.com’ (the target of the is.gd redirection)
Take the ‘Boulder Pledge’ – don’t do ANY business with spammers, EVER! –And flag ‘em whenever you see ‘em!
riley05 almost 14 years ago
Or go one step further.
Email them, and tell them you don’t do ANY business with spammers.
In my private fantasy world, that makes a difference.

“I am also saying is right now oil is the best thing out there right now.”
Best for what, Harley?
Best for a pro-pollution person like yourself.
“Do not like it find something better. I am all for that!”
Then why are you so pro-pollution?
