Lately we keep hearing about the “gulf oil spill” which made me wonder how Gulf Oil was taking it.

But after reading the Wiki article on that company’s history, there doesn’t seem to be much left of a once great company other than a brand name. (Same is true for one of my former employers, RCA.)

(Thanks Radish, I’ve been trying for years to remember the third line of the Texaco jingle.)

I bet no Gulf loving liberals drive cars. No only conservatives create the demand for oil that caused the spill. Darned right wing nuts and their cars. Why can’t they take mass transit?

Because there is no Mass Transit out where we live.

Not to worry Gulf Coast fisheries, everyone needs some oil in their diets.

The reason for this spill will probably be the reason for most industrial accidents. Corporate greed. I would bet that safety procedures were not followed, installation schedules were shortened and safety tests were not performed to try to save money. That is the reasons for most accidents that happen. People die and the enviroment is poisoned to try to save a buck.
