Lily thinks she is a better Pilot than the stoopy dogs. As usual she doesn’t want anybody to pet her or the other cats either!

QueenWe love to hear how the adoptions are going! To us, this isn’t “jabbering” it is talking to a dear friend over the back fence.11. wow a full house! You have so much love to give, a special person, and I am so glad you are a friend!

Yesterday I adopted Ruby, the loving purring 6 year old siamese from our local shelter. She was fine in the car, I released her in the bathroom where she explored and sniffed and asked for more head rubs. She wandered into the bedroom walking past Barney and Freddog with just a little hiss, but once alone with me she became a snarling attacking wildcat! She is still hiding behind the closet and growling this morning, hasn’t eaten or used the cat box. I agree with Queen that I was wrong not to keep her completely separated but it seems extreme to have her turn on me even this morning, when she has been left alone for 12 hours. She had only been at the shelter since Thursday where she was completely relaxed.

Had a long chat with lady who will be officiating at our wedding. The ceremony itself is all finalized. Now we just need to pull the food and drink together and pray the weather cooperates. The forecast for Saturday keeps changing

Just dropped by to say hi to everyone. We are at a Hotel in Brainerd that has a water park and the kids and grandkids are down enjoying it. They will be back soon and we are going to go have lunch at my daughter in laws that lives here. Then her kids are coming back to enjoy it as well. Now to serious stuff -Queenie

Dont you dare stop posting about the adoptions and the antics of your fosters!! It gives us smiles and hope for other homeless critters and inspires us to do more adopting and fostering ourselves. Please dont stop just because of one thoughtless person who doesnt comment anywhere unless they can be just what they are and I think everyone knows what that is. Sweet person that you are, you might not know what that is, but picture a portion of your lower anatomy about midway down your back.

Jessie, what has been done cant be undone, but spend lots of time with your new love, and bring treats every time you come to see her, and give her another one when you have to leave. She will come around. Patience and love will win out in the end. God bless you both.

I was so glad to hear/read Miscreants dog made it through the 4th, and that all homes are safe from fires. I am praying for rain for the west coast for sure. LadyKat, I was also happy to hear your grandson gets to attend your wedding. I know you are in anticipatory knots right about now, and my only advice is this, Breathe Girlfriend, Breathe!

QoA – I don’t comment much, like once every couple of months or so, but I have to agree. Never ever stop posting & giving us the details of everything you do. Same goes for everyone else. This is the ONLY comic that I regularly read the comments on, and it’s BECAUSE of all the stories you all post (not to mention the wonderful pictures :) ). LONG LIVE TEN CATS & ITS COMMENTOR (sp?) I love the comments and connections to the group, even though I seldom post, I feel part of the community. When my day gets stressful, and since I work at a hospice, it happens often, TC is where I go to chill. This and Speechless are places with community, but I see many of the same posters – you all have made this a good place! I love hearing – know that my good thoughts and prayers are with you all!

I had a friend that used “Rescue Remedy” for her adopted cat, especially when she had a traveling job as a recruiter for different companies. She said it helped to calm him down. I tried “Feliway” and it didn’t seem to work on my 3 cats. They never did get along. Now just have one old gal left as other 2 died over the past 3 years, both from kidney disease. (At 17 and 16 years of age.)

I cared for 13 fur persons for 16 years. They were escapees from a cat hoader who lived 2 streets behind me. I lost my last ‘gentleman’ just last year. It was hard. I love reading about Queen’s kittens it brings back very fond memories for me. My “gentlemen’s supper club” as my husband and I called them were fed, housed, brushed and lovingly cared for. I was expensive but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I absolutely loved each and every one of them..Their personalities were all different. NEVER had One Single Cat fight. We must have done Something right…… Keep on posting Queen-we love hearing the latest..At least Most of us. Rikkie has the right approach.

Can not underestimate the value of temporary isolation. Even if you think it isn’t necessary it really affords the cat adjustment on their own terms. Patience and love can overcome just about anything. My guys got along great because we chose to look at the world from Their perspective. Paid Huge Dividends.

SticktheWicketYou put a dash “-” in front of “were” with no space. This is the shortcut key for the HTML tag <del> which invokes strikeout text. Another “-” after a word (no space) will turn off strikeout as will the tag </del>.

FYIMore of these shortcut keys can be found in the second comment at The Citizen Dogs Guide to Formatting for GoComics along with other tips and tricks. Sadly some of them no longer work. Thanks GoComics.

Queen, none of us want to live in a world populated by idiots. Please continue to post about the kitties, the hummingbirds, the adoptions, etc. I don’t think Annie, Graham or Chesney would want a world where there wasn’t any jabberings. If you stop posting, we may just have to enlist our traveler, Gweedo, to hunt you down and convince you to continue just the way you have been with all the updates. If you stop, there will be no reason to stop and stay awhile. We are a community and if someone doesn’t like the way we do business, they are free to move on.

OK, OK….Haven’t been able to go on-line all day due to stressful goings on here….will explain why in a day or so. Most disturbing to read all the comments about QOA saying she will limit her postings (haven’t yet gone back to last night’s comments). First off, QUEEN, your postings have become SO important to me, as they have been to many others… just the thought of no more kitten news adoptions, adorable foster stories, pictures of Brad, (kidding), and just sensible advice from one who has gone through it all! @#$%^& to that ignoramus to the 10th degree. Now I’ll go back to last night’s late comments.

Reading this strip and reading about your cat-centric lives makes my days better. If somebody with a squinty little heart can’t stand reading all about those dear cats and kittens(and doggies, skunks, owls, emus, pigeons, babies of all species, etc), he can simply stop reading.

Yeah! Trolls throw bombs to see who they can get a reaction from. Ignore him/it. They shrivel up and disappear if you don’t acknowledge them. Queenie, Jesse, and all who rescue, God Bless You! Forever and ever AMEN!

@JessegooddoggySo sorry you had a terrible incident with Ruby. SHE really needs time to herself to get acclimated to her new surroundings and family. Poor little girl is probably overwhelmed with all the change in her life. In time she will realize just how wonderful her new forever home and family are. Bless you for taking her in.
