I’ve been sleeping on a waterbed for past 45 years, until wife got tired of me waking her up when the old bladder calls. Joke is older than I am.

Bought my first waterbed in the mid 80s before I got married. Had one for about 25 years (including the first 15 or so years of my marriage) until about four or five years ago when the wife somehow found someone getting rid of an air bed (primitive “Sleep Number” bed). Turns out I wound up with the leaking air mattress. I’m OK as long as I pump it up every so often. But I found waveless waterbed mattresses real early in the game. Even if you can find a waterbed source these days (are they even on line?), there’s no reason to sleep on a seasickness-inducing mattress. Would’ve been a funnier — and more relevant — joke in the 70s.

Not seasick. It is motion sickness.
