FYI, that’s a picture of the Salt Lake Temple on the wall in the 1st and 4th frames. Brian Crane is LDS (Mormon), like me. Every once in a while he draws a picture of a temple in his comic. ;-)

Actually, that is the Washington DC Temple on the wall. He talked at the Temple Visitor’s Center last night and told us that he drew the DC temple to commemorate coming to Washington DC. He also gives Nelson a BYU shirt every so often.

No, Joe. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. “Mormon” is a nickname in regards to the church, so is actually closer to being like “Holy Roller” in reference. Yes, it is used, but not preferred.
