Well, a week ago Mark twittered that they had a tornado in New Jersey and that he had to interrupt drawing Heart in the middle of a story line. Maybe he still hasn’t caught up yet? The cartoonists here do have to upload strips a bit in advance I think (though I don’t know how long), maybe back then he had to upload a rerun out of necessity and can’t change it back? Speculating would be easier if I had a better idea of the workings of gocomics.

Vacation time for Mark would be my guess. He left us on a cliffhanger. Smart man, he want to be sure we will be there when he will be.
