This sounds similar to the “TQM” (Total Quality Management) nonsense we went through back in the ’90’s. As soon as there were budget cut layoffs, TQM went out the window and was never heard of again.
It works for the Japanese because of their culture, they have great team playing abilities. American culture is anchored in individualism and there is a “ME” in Team!
