My mom carried her hearing aid in a bag she crocheted. She wore it around her neck. Whenever she wanted to hear someone, she’d hold it up and say, “Talk to the hand.”
Sonotone and other companies had early hearing aides that looked like black walk-talkies. One extra had one in 1928 charlie chaplin movie and people were claiming it was time traveler with cell phone!
