So Adam has a prescription for pain meds?He’s a mess.

Sometimes coffee just isn’t enough.

So now he’ll be addicted to coffee and oxycodone?

It’s got to be pretty bad pain for me to take any medication for it.

Some people get really loopy, silly, and pretty funny when on strong painkillers, and it looks like Adam’s one of those people.

I had morphine once, when I had appendicitis, and it wasn’t bad. All it did was to take the edge off the pain, which let me sleep. As for oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc, both of which I was given for back problems, I’d rather have the pain. They made me sleepy, but too dizzy and nauseous to sleep. I just lied around for hours with the room spinning, unable to do anything. My doctor laughed, and told me I’d make a bad heroin addict, and I told him that was just fine with me.

The first time I ever got Vicodin was for a broken arm, and it was probably a bit stronger than I needed. About fifteen to twenty minutes after I took it, there was a wonderful warm wave of sleepyness and the next thing I knew it was at least four hours later. I’m not complaining because I wasn’t aware of any pain while I was asleep, but I’ve never had that strong a dose since, and I’m glad of it. I don’t ever want to find out the hard way that I have an addictive personality.

Really? You’re advertising getting high from pain pills?
