i’ll bet there’s plenty of flies where they’ve been chained to for the last several years…not That kinda honey on the deck

Ugly is one of the endearing qualities of this strip.
Shouldn’t the Man With The Whip stay out of strangle range of the oar-men? Rowing makes their arms and hands awfully strong.
Dip the end of the whip in honey and see how much he likes it then.
“You guys work so hard. You’re all super AWESOME! You just need to row harder, come on, you can do it. I know you can.”
Then whip the honey out of them all, with extra effort for being stupid… and hideously drawn. ; )
the beatings will stop when moral improves….
They really would work better if the oars could reach the water.
