    Good morning Vagabonds.

Had a very good fourth with my oldest daughter and her husband at my niece’s house. Was cloudy most of the day, then a very brief shower, more of a sprinkle for 10-15 mins., then the sky cleared up and the sun came out.

Hope you all had a good one.

Good morning Vagabonds..Looks like It’s going to clear off and become a nice day..Went out to Barton to Roaring Brook Park for the afternoon yesterday.Tractor pulling, lawn tractor and ATV pulling, Horse and pony pulling, but, no political pulling thank goodness. The Forth of July parade made it’s way through Barton and entered the park about 3 o’clock and passed before the Grand Stand. Some floats, antique and classic autos, and fire trucks from the aria Fire Departments.Gary, our local TV weather guy spoke of a glitch in our good weather, it came through around 7:30.The rain came down while we were in the horse pulling pavilion, watching a horse pull (of coarse).Fireworks at about 9:45, very good for being done the old fashion way.(no computer control)All in all very nice day..Vell, I’ll a tell ya, got’a think about gettin’ ready for Church.

Catch ya on the flip flop. (cb lingo).ttfn

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

We had a pretty good fourth, too. The weather was much like Arthur described, but warmer. The day was mostly quiet, but going over to the park to see the fireworks was wonderful. Picture a puddle during a fast hard rainstorm. Little bursts of water every time a drop hits the puddle, and lots of drops. That’s what the lights in the north end of the valley looked like. A flat carpet of light with literally hundreds of “splashes” at a time. Add to that the larger shows nearby (not much on the Strip though, I don’t know why) and it was quite a display. We were out there for almost an hour, and while the big shows were over, the “splashes” were still going strong when we walked home. We were the only ones out there enjoying the show. It was like a free private fireworks display.

Forecast for the next couple of days is below 100. Yay!

    Good Morning, Gang,

We too, enjoyed the fireworks displays! Our own private audience, too. Ended up around 11.

We are being treated to a Canadian cold front. Winds started around midnight with a vengeance! It got up to 96 yesterday, and we had to close all our windows because of the horrific winds! And today…………55 this a.m., and supposed to only get up to 66 today! HURRAY!!!!! I plan on putting a tri-tip roast in the oven to celebrate!
