Yes, Charlie Brown, we read you saying you’re upside-down for the first time. No need to repeat yourself thrice.

Most of us wound get ourselves back on our feet instead of complaining about being upside down. Course how many of us can stand on our heads that long.

Does your nose run? Do your feet smell? You must be built upside down (from ancient Mad Magazine).

Just another reminder that no one ever really notices Charlie Brown.

Will his Pitches now react oppsite of their normal reaction? Maybe, but I’m betting the next batter will flip him Right Side Up!

Sometimes the obvious isn’t evident. A friend of mine broke his back as a teenager and had two steel plates put in. He did OK. When he reported for this draft physical (you old timers might remember them), he told the first doctor he saw, “I have two steel plates in my back.” The doctor said, “Open your mouth and say ‘ahhh.’”

He went to the next doctor and said, “I have two steel plates in my back.” The doctor said, “Pull up your sleeve and make a fist.”

And so on, doctor after doctor, getting responses like, “Read line A,” “Take a deep breath” or “Drop your pants, turn around and crack a smile.”

The 22nd doctor (not Dr. Who) remarked, “Hey, you have two steel plates in your back.” By this time my friend was frustrated with the whole process and said, “Really? No wonder I’ve been setting off the metal detectors at the airport.”
