Thank you for doing this, Guy. My WW 2 generation uncles and Dad are gone now, and my high school friends who died in Vietnam are usually only remembered by friends and family. Today, more people will remember…

Guy, hooray for you and Nancy for remembering. I counted my blessings today — I and all my friends and family who served came home in one piece. I salute those who have sacrificed much.

GUY,If you read these notes you know I don’t write often, only when you get my emotions going.. Last time I wrote, it wa also about this subject. I want to thank you again for the sensitivity and kind way you remind us of these heart-felt reminder of our loved ones who are waiting for us to join them at the Pearly Gates. I know my parents are having a wonderful time walking streets of gold.Don

Guy, what you said here today means more to me than I can ever express. I would rather read words like these than watch all the war moves ever made, even with John Wayne!

I can only agree with all previous commenters Good job Guy.My uncle who fought in WW1 was named Guy, in France they called him gee. He is the one who survived, Uncle Earl was killed Nov 2nd 1918 (just a few days before the armistice.)

i will always say the best way to honor those who died in battle is to:pay your taxes! stop sending your money to overseas bank accounts to avoid them! some of that tax money you avoided paying goes to support our veterans!go to that jury duty that you think is a waste of time! our military fought and died to protect our legal system!and the last and most important…VOTE! all the stupid govt. protests and rallys don’t mean squat! you can only change who represents you by VOTING, not helping some pundit get rich by buying his or her book!!

Nice tribute through comics media!Honor those who gave so much. Many who did not die on the battlefield, carried burdens and infirmities from their war experiences. Honor too, these brave warriors!!

Armed Forces’ Day is to honor those in uniform.Veterans’ Day is to honor those who were in uniform, but have since removed it.Memorial Day is to honor those who never had the chance to remove the uniform.
