    Maybe we an get Guy to either retell the story of Nancy and how she came to Fritzi or maybe he can tell the story more fully. And what happened to Fritzi’s sister that caused Nancy to become Nancy’s ward. I don’t remember the details. I read the sequence in the mid 1940s.

    Thanks Guy - for keepng these old memories of mine alive. I’m in my mid 70s and have been reading Nancy since about 1950. I missed a few years, and times have changed, but I’ve been here this time for about 15 of your years and you’ve never disappointed me. Nancy, Sluggo and Fritzi are still much the same as they were. I know that Fritzi is now a music lover just as I am and Phil is back (that was a pleasant surprise-I like Phil. I wrote you guys years ago and reminded you about one of Ernie’s old strips where Nancy and Sluggo kept passing by a scarecrow who seemed to be getting fatter and fatter each trip only to finally discover a pumpkin growing in his trousers — where I come from the praise, “…swallowed a pumpkin seed” meant someone was pregnant. You sent me a nice thank you note. Thanks for those years of enjoyment and congrads on 21 years of great work.

    I thought Lord Lytton’s be work and best remembered for for telling us about the eruption of Mt. Vesuvies (spelling wrong) in about 78 AD. I’ve never seen any link to Holmes — maybe he was a close friend of Doyle.

    I wish the letter would be more in spacing the letters so they don’t blend together. I am 74 and my eyes aren’t as good as they once were. Tonight I read the statement, "The Thai delicacy HUAK TOD is made from FRED TADPOLES! I’ve never met Fred Tadpoles, but I’m sure he wouldn’t appreciate being made into HUAK TOD.

    Corky and Hoogy don’t know each other? How Can this be? Boog is in school and his Father and mother are Hoogy and Rover. Rover is Corky’s nephew. So answer me please. Why don’t Corky and Hoogy acknowledge the relationship??
