The wheelbarrow thing is an old joke.And if the old lady makes dolls and got a great deal on the heads, I can understand this. My wife has bins of doll heads. Oddly, the mangled ones look like me.
The first time I heard this one it was about the French underground in WWII. The construction site was one of the bunkers for the Normandy coast and the German guards, etc.
