The vegans I know, and that’s more than 2, all eschew any animal products, including shoes, belts, wallets, etc.I am not a vegan, or a vegetarian, though I eat very little meat for health reasons. I have a wallet. I don’t know how many naugas they had to kill to make it.

Eel skin makes a good wallet. Once the smell fades.

Eels are animals, though. For that matter, couldn’t plastic from crude oil be considered (ultimately) an animal product too? That puts the vegans in all-hemp/linen/cotton, etc. cloths and footwear.

Vegans and Vegetarians are not the same thing. Pet peeve. So to speak.

This is my problem. I can’t watch those commercials on TV. They tug at my heart too much.

does anyone beside me remember, some years back some animal rights overly enthused but not intelligent activists set loose the minks from a mink farm. they not only caused havoc eating the occasional pet poodle and so forth, but ate way too many of an endangered species of vole.
