    Its supporters can project onto others as much as they wish, but it doesn’t change the real-world effects of conservative policies on actual people’s lives.

    Which might be somewhat more forgivable as naivete if it weren’t for the way conservative politics vilifies poor people in language that grows more dehumanizing by the year.

    Leftists have no objection to killing off the helpless and weak – whether abortion or eugenics or any other Darwinistic derivative. It is merely the guilty and evil – convicted murderers and other lying “hands up don’t shoot” thugs – that they would protect.
