This is a right-wing lie. The Obama administration still considers Iran to be a state sponsor of terrorism and Hamas to be a foreign terrorist organization.
I am reminded of the SNL Al Jazeera sketch in which “Death to America” was used as a greeting, an expletive, an interjection, a farewell, etc. and had lost all real meaning, like “have a nice day.”
“I don’t understand your straw man argument. It’s seems as though you couldn’t find where Obama said it, but could with Bush. So you made my point.”
We seem to misunderstand one another. You mentioned that Obama hadn’t said it. My point was that when it was said, it didn’t make a darned bit of difference. Therefore my idea that deeds make more difference than words. I will try to be less opaque in the future.
And I agree that if a deal is kept from Congressional approval, it isn’t a deal. On the other hand, a deal that hasn’t been finalized need not be ratified by Congress; doesn’t mean that diplomacy is not happening, doesn’t mean there won’t be a deal. It just means that Congress won’t find something wrong with it until it’s their turn to do so. And no matter what deal is made, it will be wrong in the eyes of many.
@DagNabbitHave you ever considered that the United States spends more on military defense than the next eight countries combined! That says it all about our foreign policy!

Between Conserve and the FinalSolution, I won’t have enough time in the morning to read all their prolific utterances.

What’s more important is how the rest of the world sees us. As a huge, pathetic joke, thanks to 41 morons in congress.
